STARLESS release date pushed till winter

November 26, 2009

The release date for Sei Shoujo’s STARLESS has again been pushed back, this time from 2009 to this winter (its summer over here but I’m guessing that means February-March). According to the staff diary a playable demo is planned for release by the end of the year. In an earlier entry (10/30) they mention all the CG was done and they were tuning the writing.

eroge…

November 20, 2009

it seems like the lighter games use more pastel colors while the darker games use a lot of black and red

I’ve nearly finished Discipline with only one more ending to go (Leona 3 – Otokawa 1). Pretty much all the endings are decided at one point so it hasn’t been too tedious, though I’m sick of the baseball part. All in all an enjoyable nukige – the ’story’ shifts between light hearted and dark with lots of reverse rape in between – the GTO parody was particularly hilarious. It was disappointing there was no ero-scenes for Linda Hamilton and Otokawa only getting one was a bit of a gyp – it seems like Himeki had like 5-6. Sadly my favorite character was Morimoto Reina, not sure what that says about my fetishes. Sei Shoujo’s art was brilliant throughout especially if you like yours breasts big and I’m looking forward to Starless whenever that comes out.

I bought my copy at the JAST store as it was continually backordered at play-asia but its now back in stock so I’d recommend getting it there as its a bit cheaper.

STARLESS site has been updated!

October 18, 2009

Ero (18+)

Apparently Starless is supposedly coming out this year though I wouldn’t hold them on that. Still the fact the site has updated twice in the last two months is encouraging given the last news came in December of 2008. To recap they’ve updated the top page image with what will be the cover package and added 9 new preview CGs.

Info about the game can be found at the Hongfire thread which has the plot, Tech Gian scans and has followed the game’s release… for the last 3+ years^^

all these spring previews remind me that…

March 22, 2009

Sei Shoujo’s Starless (18+) will (supposedly) be coming out in spring

As for the anime front Cross Game should be good. Hoping the Mazinger series will be decent and like everyone else I’ll probably watch K-ON. Also wouldn’t mind watching Higepiyo (assuming it’s ebichu with a mustached-bird) though I doubt anyone will sub it and I’ll watch Queen’s Blade as long it doesn’t take itself to seriously.

I’m glad I didn’t waste my time trying to do a proper spring preview as I’m sure it would’ve been more of: I’d totally watch series x assuming it will be awesome.

Inazuma 2009 art update from his commercial site – sounds like he had rough New Year hopefully the worst is out of the way

Yukkuriballin’

! ? can’t stop looping this

Ero (18+)

Usatarou with a art update to bring in the new year. The site’s layout has also been updated – it has meant that past archives are gone but his old art is still available from his pixiv page.

Dark Translations have completed translation of Lilith’s Prison Battleship! Also look out for the eroanime adaption which is due out in May.

Geh- I didn’t even realize Minazuki Juuzoh participated in C75 – also speaking of Minazuki what’s the deal with his (especially his recent books) doujinshi being more heavily censored than his commercial work?

Katawa Shoujo

November 4, 2008

Katawa Shoujo is an original english eroge project based on Raita’s drawing of a game where all the characters have some sort of disability. Developed by Four Lead Studios it was inspired by a thread on /a/ where someone decided to turn the idea into a game.

UPDATE: The official website has been launched

From the about page:

Katawa Shoujo is a bishoujo-style visual novel set in the fictional Yamaku High School for disabled children, located somewhere in modern Japan. Hisao Nakai, who has a congenital heart disorder diagnozed just a few months ago finds his life turned upside down when he moves to a new town and school after a long hospitalization. Despite his difficulties, Hisao is able to find friends and eventually have romantic relationships with one of five main female characters. There are five main paths corresponding to the 5 main female characters, each path following the storyline pertaining to that character.

The game is told through the perspective of the main character, using a first person narrative. This game uses a traditional text and sprite-based visual novel model with an ADV text box. Katawa Shoujo contains adult content.

The first draft of the game script was recently completed and reportedly containing just under 470,00 words and from what I’ve seen through the dev blog it’s going to be epic indeed. As for the disability theme they seem to be handling it in mature, unexploitive (not a real word I know) way. More details at the development blog and forums.

While on the topic of visual novels the good folks at mirror moon have finished translation of Fate/stay night.
